Oak Lawn adults and teens, show us your idea of “home.” Express your vision on a tiny canvas for our exhibit and share your art with the world. The best art works will receive prizes. Tiny Art canvases will be displayed on the second floor starting at our opening reception on Wednesday, October 9, at 6:30 p.m. until October 25. Local arts group Acorn to Oak Studios is partnering with the library for this event.
Guidelines and dates
Using a 4 x 4 inch canvas provided by the library, adult and teen patrons are invited to create an original work of art on the theme of “Home” using paint, markers, pencils, or mixed media. Our judges will assess submissions on originality, technique, and expression of the theme.
- Register for your tiny canvas (calendar date September 9)
- Pick up your canvas starting Sept. 9 and make some art
- Turn in your complete and dry canvas to the second floor Reference Services Desk by October 1.
- Come to the Opening Reception (Oct. 9) and visit the exhibit until Oct. 25.
Limit one canvas per person.
