Actor George Tafelski uses monologues to teach communication skills such as diction, vocal projection, stage presence and expressive body language. 

Whether you like Monopoly, Uno, or Smash Bros, a game awaits you in the Teen Room! We offer a casual environment to learn new games and play old favorites. We also welcome you to bring your own! 

Adults and teens are welcome to enjoy family-friendly tabletop games with the Moraine Valley Gamers.
 

Local musician Andrew Moreno and Friends play jazz standards and contemporary classics. Andrew went to OLCHS and graduated from Moraine Valley Community College. He teaches and plays all over the Chicago area.

BYO needlework projects and stop by the Knit N’ Stitch with Jennifer Rodriguez and friends to enjoy conversation and crafting: crocheters, knitters, plus cross-stitchers and embroiderers welcome.  

Bring your handicraft projects–crochet, knitting or sewing–and spend an hour enjoying conversation while your needles do the work.

Help prep the materials for the corsage program.

Join in on anime and manga fandom at the library, or come and find a new favorite! 

You will be cutting out and assembling small burlap pouches for our Fanfest event. This will require measuring, cutting, and tying knots. 

Celebrate National Library week by assembling a remarkable tiny book case to take home. All parts of the craft are provided along with instruction from artist Catherine Suchy, who specializes in crafting mniniature worlds.

Join our beginner friendly tabletop wargaming club. We play Warhammer 40k 10e, and have a small selection of armies available to play. No experience or materials needed, but feel free to bring your own.
